Jaguar XKR-S Convertible (2013)

CARBARN | Jaguar XKR-S Convertible (2013) | Extensive computational fluid dynamics, wind tunnel and track work resulted in changes in aerodynamic design applied to the Convertible Jaguar XKR-S. These play a vital role in maintaining stability in a convertible car capable of speeds up to 186 mph (300 kmh). These aerodynamic changes to the front of the car a dramatic and daring. The vertical lines run characteristic below the edges of the oval air into the new bumper design that incorporates a wider air intake, lower, a carbon fiber divider and side nacelles individual. A single wing rear scale carbon fiber works in conjunction with a rear skirt with a diffuser carbon fiber. The exterior changes are highlighted by glossy black color application for external brightwork, complemented by technical dark finish 20-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels Vulcan project through which you can see the brake calipers High Performance Jaguar finished in either brass attractive red or discrete. The Jaguar XKR-S Cabrio is available in a range of six colors, Polaris White and British Racing Green, a tribute to the heritage of Jaguar competition.

Taking the spirit guided trail Jaguar XKR-S coupe and its application to a convertible is very exciting. Ian Callum, Design Director of Jaguar Cars. Jaguar C-X16 (2012)

CARBARN | Jaguar C-X16 (2012) | Ahead of its September 13 debut at the Frankfurt Motor, Jaguar has released images and details on its latest concept, the 2012 Jaguar C-X16. Up front, the coupe uses a vertical headlight design, rather than horizontal lamps on the XF, XJ and XK. Two air intakes before, a wide grille and pronounced front spoiler give the car a sportier look compared to the current range of Jaguar. The three large buttons on the center console high definition TV screens films that can be reconfigured depending on what you control.

Powering the coupe is a 375-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-scroll V-6 produces 332 lb.-ft. of torque. When the "Push to Pass" is pressed on the steering wheel, the electric motor can kick in, providing extra power from 50 mph to 75 mph in 2.1 seconds. Overall, the 94-hp electric motor and V-6 can accelerate the C-X16 from zero to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph. At 175 inches long and 3.527 pounds, the C-X16 is noticeably shorter and lighter than the Jaguar XK 2012. Ultimate Jaguar XJ (2013)

CARBARN | Ultimate Jaguar XJ (2013) | The Jaguar XJ coupe introduced a spirit mouldbreaking design to its kind, where the established principle Jaguar lines long, intact features and its application to a form decidedly 21st century. Drastically different from its competitors, the aluminum XJ capture the essential elements of the design of Jaguar elegance, muscle, elegance and strength. Anyone who has followed a last Jaguar XJ will be the slightest doubt that the model is a cut above, and which is distinguished by the new oval exhaust pipes in polished stainless steel runners that echo the front air intakes and a plaque discrete metal 'Ultimate' below the XJ "nameplate.

Rear seat passengers are also provided with a wide range of entertainment options to enjoy while sipping champagne. The Ultimate Jaguar XJ is equipped as standard with rear-drive Jaguar seat entertainment package that comprises two eight-inch high-resolution screens mounted on the back of the headrests of the front seats. The rear seat environment, including entertainment, is run by a remote control located in the center console that also allows passengers to change their individual climate zones and seat heating and cooling functions. To underscore its intention to ensure that passengers remain pampered at all times, the Jaguar XJ Ultimate revisions has air suspension rear suspension for optimized ride compliance.

The aluminum architecture offers advantages in terms of emissions and fuel consumption, allowing the XJ to provide a striking balance of performance and frugality of its range of high efficiency motors, refined and muscular. The latest XJ will be offered with the current and acclaimed 5.0-liter Jaguar V8 supercharged gasoline and diesel the equally highly regarded 3.0-liter V6 turbo.

The Ultimate Jaguar XJ will also be offered with a new 3.0-liter supercharged V6 gasoline being introduced to the range for model year 2013. This engine, which in the last Jaguar XJ will produce 340PS and 450Nm, is based on the award-winning technology inherent Jaguar V8 engine offering similar performance to the naturally aspirated version of the engine (not available in the last XJ), but emissions and fuel economy benefits of a V6.

Jaguar XF (2012)

CARBARN | Jaguar XF (2012) | Carbon fiber also replaces wood on the go-fast model. One significant upgrade, however, is a novel start-stop feature that's worth noting, as it Could be adapted for use on gasoline engines.  If an engine stop has been ordered and the engine is still turning faster than about 350 rpm, the fuel rail (which Remains pressurized) simply resumes injection and within two compression cycles the engine starts running again.

Below 350 rpm, the starter is required, but rather than wait for it to stop, then engage the starter pinion and commence cranking, the XF diesel can smoothly engage the starter before the engine stops turning. By motoring the pinion up to match engine speed, there's no crunch the pinion hits the flywheel, and no time lost in restarting. Order a restart, and its spring releases enough hydraulic pressure to engage the shift key elements needed for instantaneous launch.

My only experience in the 2012 drive was with this XF diesel, and the start-stop technology works splendidly, restarting as Quickly as a high-voltage hybrid (like the Buick LaCrosse eAssist) on Those touch-and-go stops. Even the full stops seem slightly quicker to go, Because the pinion is already engaged Pls lifting off the brake. A second battery ensures there's Ample power to run all the ancillaries with the engine off (the A / C compressor-driven engine is still, however). Auto-stop can be switched off and is blocked Whenever you're using the paddle shifters. Another cool feature: If the auto-stops XF  you get to your parking place or garage, just unbuckle your belt and the transmission shifts to park, then the ignition shuts down completely.

The eight-speed's shift quality is impeccable, delivering aspects swift, decisive downshifts 8-2 Pls Called to action, then wafting seamlessly from ratio to ratio like a CVT while sashaying around town. It's a slam-dunk That Should boost Jag XF's market share in Europe, where 49 percent of 5-series/upper CD segment is a four-cylinder Diesels.

Jaguar XJ (2012)

CARBARN | Jaguar XJ (2012) | The mold-breaking styling is matched by similarly impressive construction techniques pioneered by Jaguar. In conjunction with a lifecycle approach to design and manufacture, this allows the Jaguar XJ to minimize its carbon footprint. The cabin of the Jaguar XJ blends elegant, contemporary design with the comfort, luxury and unmistakable sporting style of a Jaguar.

Both standard and long-wheelbase models are available, for an even more sumptuous and refined experience for rear seat passengers. Advanced new technology has allowed Jaguar's interior designers to create an environment more akin to a state-of-the-art living space than a car cabin. Advanced infotainment features also include hard-drive based audio and navigation systems and comprehensive connectivity for portable audio and video devices via the powerful Media Hub.

On the long-wheelbase derivatives portfolio a new 'Executive Pack' transforms the rear of the Jaguar XJ into a high-speed mobile office space with the provision of fold-down laptop Trays and an electric rear sunblind for Increased privacy. The package also includes upgraded carpeting, combination wood and leather steering wheel, gloss wood veneer and chrome mirror housings choices.

Available with the Premium Luxury and Portfolio trim levels, the Jet / Ivory features ivory seating option with a jet of contrast stitching, piping and upper surfaces while the headlining is available in either color, According to customer preference. All Jaguar XJ variants are now available with an Illumination Package derived from That Offered as standard on the Supersport model. This comprises the illuminated treadplates, boot latch and front and rear vents water. "An XJ Should Be the ultimate in comfort, design and refinement. Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar Cars
