The electronic hill holder system keeps the vehicle in place to pull up the driver releases the accelerator pedal away from a stop.  The Subaru Outback is smart-sized compared to other 2-row crossover vehicles, with a middle-class interior in an easy-to-maneuver and off-road capable vehicles.

The 2013 Subaru Outback (and Legacy) Subaru models integrated debut of the new EyeSight ™ driver-assist system, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and vehicle systems, lane departure warning. Subaru XV Cross Trek (2013)

CARBARN | Subaru XV Cross Trek (2013) | Subaru Forester is 4.1 inches taller one's own, 4.3 inches longer and wider than the non-cross trek, its success will likely depend on how many sales he can cannibalize from the former. The XV will cost a bit more than the Forester, but there is less consumption of its 2.0-liter flat-four larger than the car looks its 2.5.  The car will be at 25 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway rated with a five-speed manual transmission and 27/36 with the optional CVT. That's a bit better than the Forester's garden 21/27 mpg (of course the turbo Forester gets worse fuel economy, in 19/24 mpg).

The cross Trek The interior is identical to the Impreza Hatch unpacked it on the same 23 cubic meters load volume with the rear seats. The larger car also significantly improved XV passenger compartment, front with two more cubic feet and a significant additional eight-49 to 41-in the back. Both the base Forester and XV boast 8.7 inch ground clearance, or three more than a normal Impreza. Three inches make a big difference when fording deep snow often in heavy Subaru markets such as the North East, North West and the Rocky Mountain states found As in the new Impreza, the XV-house is four a disappointment.

Like the Impreza, turns eagerly to the XV and is responsible, if pushed. Outside the Subaru showroom, which has few natural competitors XV. For the year 2012, a base Impreza hatch is 18 745, a base Forester is $ 21,370. Both are offered in three trim levels, but Subaru tells us it will probably offer the XV alone in the two upper trim levels, Premium and Limited. At about $ 22,500, the premium XV be a few grand more than the equivalent Impreza and a bit less than the Forester 2.5 Premium. Subaru also let us taste the diesel-XV, it will offer in Europe.

Subaru Legacy (2012)

CARBARN | Subaru Legacy (2012) | Completely redesigned the Subaru Legacy for 2010. Base 2.5i models are frugal and sensible but hardly exciting; turbocharged 2.5GT models appeal to driving enthusiasts and get a 265-hp version of the four; and the 256-hp, six-cylinder Legacy 3.6R takes the territory into more luxurious.

Across the model line, the Legacy feels just a little bit sportier than rival models from most other automakers - Subaru although longtime fans will sense That this latest model, at least in base form, has a few more concessions to the mass-market ( not all a bad thing, really). Fuel economy with the base engine and CVT is good - up to 23 mpg city, 31 highway, making it the most fuel-efficient mid-size AWD sedan, other models but Are not nearly as good for gas mileage.

In Addition to the usual roster of airbags and stability control, the Legacy's all-wheel drive system is an asset on snowy and rainy highways. 2.5i and 3.6R models are Offered in base, Premium, and Limited models, while the GT comes only in Limited Guise - the which adds fog lamps, dual-zone climate control, and other upgrades. For 2012, the audio systems have been revamped; Legacy Premium models get a new audio system with Bluetooth calling and audio-streaming capability; iPod / USB controls, and six speakers.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI S206 (2012)

CARBARN | Subaru Impreza WRX STI S206 (2012) | We almost do not want to tell you about the new Subaru Impreza WRX STI S206. Why? It's yet another special limited edition STI built exclusively for Japanese domestic consumption. Subaru's STI tuning department takes its "S" series very seriously, something we witnessed at the recent Tokyo Motor Show when it Revealed the new S206 with its eye-popping spec sheet. We've driven them all and been suitably impressed with every car.

Smiling confidently, he opens the door to one of only 100 NBR Challenge Package models of the S206, a super rare edition STI's monumental class celebrating a win in this year's Nurburgring 24-hour race. With its unique 19-inch BBS rims and hard-core carbon-fiber roof and rear wing, the NBR Certainly looks the part. Powering the S206 is a version of Subie's turbocharged 2.0-liter boxer from the WRX STI. The engine is hand-built, with pistons, connecting rods, and crankshaft all meticulously balanced before assembly. The secret to the S206's improved performance comes from the newly fitted low friction, twin-scroll ball-bearing turbo, a remapped ECU, and a low back pressure exhaust system boosts That low-to mid-range torque.

Built off of the outgoing WRX STI platform, the S206's suspension gets specially fitted inverted Bilstein dampers, coil springs STI, and a flexible front strut tower brace, while Those 19-inch rims are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports rubber (245/35ZR19) , highlighting huge six-piston Brembo calipers with drilled rotors. Switching the VDC to S # for maximum throttle response, and with the updated DCCD (driver controlled center differential) left in normal mode, we gun the boxer engine in first and second to record a stopwatch-timed 0-60 mph sprint of around 4.5 seconds. Compared to the current WRX STI, the S206 displays beefier torque Between 3200 and 4400 rpm where you need most for Quicker exits cornering.

Zeroing in on a tight right-hander in fourth at 100 mph, we obliterate 50 mph in 1 second flat by jumping on the 6-pot Brembos, pop the notchy six-speed gearbox down to second and turn in to. Whoa  How can you Make an Impreza WRX corner with so little roll, maintains so much lateral grip, and yet retain Such comfortable ride quality? Back in the pits, Tatsumi lets on that his team has Brought across some "little secrets" from the STI race car, the which They are Preparing for a second 24-hour Nurburgring challenge in 2012. It's not just the flexible tower brace and Bilsteins That create this ride, "Tatsumi said."

A carbon roof That improves ride quality? We can not argue with That Because the ride quality is exceptional  firm but compliant - for a hard-core sports model like this with 19-inch low profile tires. The combination of suspension upgrades and high-grip tires Michelin Meant Tatsumi's team also was Able to dial back the steering gear ratio from 13:1 to 15:1, the which in turn makes the S206 at speed as predictably as the actual race car, with logarithmic loads of grip and steering more feel and feedback than any STI before it. This car simply begs you to push it harder each lap. Your insides just about reach Their lateral limits before the tires reach theirs.  Tatsumi That Tells us he wanted his team to build a car That Was not just the best STI so far, but create a car That communicates so well with drivers That it makes them better drivers, or at least feel as though They are better drivers . Not quite satisfied with the explanation as to why the car corners so well, I found myself asking Tatsumi "just how much of that race car is in the S206?" As Tatsumi points out, "if you want to drive this car, you'll have to come to Japan."  If you want to eat the best, most authentic sushi, you have to come to Japan anyway, right?

Subaru Tribeca (2012)

CARBARN | Subaru Tribeca (2012) | The Tribeca is Subaru's mid-size crossover-a little larger than the automaker's rugged Outback wagon, and as the name hints, a little more Urbane in purpose. Updates to the Tribeca in recent years models have been Kept to a minimum. In its current iteration, the Subaru Tribeca looks sleek and curvy, but not overtly so, and its styling details-at least on the outside-feel of carefully calculated to offend no one. While the exterior of the Tribeca is quite unremarkable, the interior makes more of an impression.

The 2012 Subaru Tribeca is powered by a 256-horsepower, 3.6-liter flat-six engine, with torque sent to all four wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission and a symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. ESPECIALLY gas mileage is not good for this class, with the Tribeca returning 16 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. But the Tribeca push hard into a corner and you'll find one of the Tribeca's best attributes: It has good body control and better steering than most other vehicles of this type.

There's nothing particularly noteworthy about the Tribeca's packaging-though it does fit three rows into a manageable footprint that's pretty easy to park. We feel confident in saying That the Tribeca is one of the safest picks Among mid-size crossovers; it's scored excellent marks in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) crash tests and was a Top Safety Pick for 2011. For 2012, Subaru has redesigned the head restraints; side-impact airbags for the front seats and side curtain airbags for first-and second-row passengers but not for third-row passengers Remain standard.

The 2012 Tribeca Remains Offered in Premium, Limited, or Touring trims, with the touring model Gaining a moonroof, a navigation system, and a reversing camera, all as standard features. The base premium is generously equipped, too, with fog lights, 18-inch wheels, power driver and passenger seats, and heated front seats. The Subaru Tribeca looks, inside and out, like a slightly more upscale take on the family wagon of our day-the mid-size crossover vehicle.

While the exterior of the Tribeca is quite unremarkable, the interior makes more of an impression. A curvy, overtly futuristic (read, feeling already dated) cockpit-like interior of the original model of Remains; it's a handsome setup in the details, and its ambient lighting is ESPECIALLY extensive.

Subaru BRZ (2013)

2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STI S206

We almost don't want to tell you about the new Subaru Impreza WRX STI S206. Why? Because it's the fastest, best-handling WRX Subaru's STI division has ever produced, but you can't buy it in the U.S. It's yet another special STI limited edition built exclusively for Japanese domestic consumption.

Subaru's tuning department takes its STI "S" series very seriously, something we witnessed at the recent Tokyo Motor Show when it revealed the new S206 with its eye-popping spec sheet. There's more than a decade of history in the top-shelf S series, starting from the radical-looking S201 to the gutsy S204, and the extreme R205. We've driven them all and been suitably impressed with every car. But the S206 takes "S" to a whole new level.
Powering the S206 is a version of Subie's turbocharged 2.0-liter boxer from the WRX STI. Horsepower has been bumped from 305 hp to 316 hp while torque increases from 290 lb-ft to 318 lb-ft. The engine is hand-built, with pistons, connecting rods, and crankshaft all meticulously balanced before assembly. The secret to the S206's improved performance comes from the newly fitted low friction, twin-scroll ball-bearing turbo, a remapped ECU, and a low back pressure exhaust system that boosts low- to mid-range torque.
Built off of the outgoing WRX STI platform, the S206's suspension gets specially fitted inverted Bilstein dampers, STI coil springs, and a flexible front strut tower brace, while those 19-inch rims are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports rubber (245/35ZR19), highlighting huge six-piston Brembo calipers with drilled rotors.

As we launch ourselves out of the blocks, the S206 feels at once poised and ready for any right boot extension. And any corner. Switching the VDC to S# for maximum throttle response, and with the updated DCCD (driver controlled center differential) left in normal mode, we gun the boxer engine in first and second to record a stopwatch-timed 0-60 mph sprint of around 4.5 seconds.
Compared to the current WRX STI, the S206 displays beefier torque between 3200 and 4400 rpm -- where you need most for quicker cornering exits. But as Tatsumi says, "this torque curve also makes it easier to putter round town as well." Right, but that's not what we're here for.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2011

The new Subaru Impreza WRX STI offered in two body styles (5-door and 4-door). In addition to the new styling, the 2011 WRX STI features significantly revised suspension tuning and lighter 18-inch wheels for even sharper handling. The Subaru Impreza WRX STI has been a recipient of continuous improvement since its introduction. Most recently, the 2010 WRX STI Special Edition previewed some of the suspension enhancements now migrated to the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

In front, the 2011 WRX STI models feature sharpened bumper corners and wider, blacked-out fog lamp nacelles to accentuate the “wide and low” profile. A jutting lip spoiler with three-dimensional detailing emphasizes the cars’ sporty intent. The newly designed front grille with black base and blacked-out Subaru wing highlights the headlights’ shape to give the entire front end a more powerful appearance, accentuated by larger grille and bumper intake openings.

New standard 18-inch aluminum wheels feature high-luster paint and weigh 17.6 lbs. less than the previous standard wheels. The optional 18 x 8.5-in. BBS® forged aluminum-alloy wheels, which further reduce unsprung vehicle weight, are highlighted by silver high-luster paint for 2011.

Exclusive to the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, the Brembo Performance Brake System uses ventilated 4-wheel Super Sport anti-lock (ABS) disc brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). Super Sport ABS can control the braking forces at each rear wheel independently, which optimizes braking ability during hard cornering to help reduce understeer.

The 2011 WRX STI continues as the ultimate-performance Subaru with its high-boost 305-hp turbocharged/intercooled 4-cyl. Boxer engine and 6-speed manual transmission. The STI also features Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) version of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with three “Auto” modes, as well as a manual mode with six driver-selectable differential locking settings.

New for 2011, the WRX STI interior is finished in black and silver to highlight its sporty design. Trim panels, the steering wheel air bag cover and steering wheel switches are now dark cast metallic. The 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI models arrive in Subaru dealerships in late summer 2010.
